November's Monthly Kit: North America
This kit begins our Continent of the Month series where we will explore & celebrate the geography, animals and cultures of every continent between November 2020 and May 2021. These activities are based on the curriculum we used in our former Montessori-inspired classroom.
November's kit will include the following:
- A passport sticker book with passport stamps from U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa River, Guatemala and more
- Make a Canadian flag and design your own flag activity
- A basket-weaving activity with recycled materials
- Build a totem pole and learn about the indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast
- Learn about some of the major geographical landmarks of North America, like Denali, Crater Lake, the Grand Canyon and the Great Blue Hole off Belize
- Salt -dough landform sensory activity, adding "land" to the shape of the North America continent, adding peaks for the Rocky mountains and carving out the Mississippi river.
- A grizzly bear magnet craft using upcycled materials

Each month will be a different theme and will include opportunities for creativity and hands-on play with art, science, sensory stimulation, fine-motor skill development and more!
Our kits are designed by an early childhood professional to be fun & enriching, and seek to instill a love of nature, many cultures and the arts in your child.
Our kits are gender-neutral, so there is no "girl" or "boy" option. We strive to be eco-friendly, sourcing used & natural materials and limiting plastics as much as possible.
While there are many national brands that can provide you with monthly boxes for your kids, with our service, you are supporting a local, small & mom-owned business!
What's Inside?
In each kit you can expect to find:
- 3-4 activities or crafts with simple-to-follow, written instructions
- 1-2 educational worksheets or laminated cards (may include a game, coloring page, etc.),
- Internet links that provides supplemental learning materials including book suggestions and links to virtual "field trips"

How Does the Subscription Work?
This is a recurring subscription. Your card will be charged when you check-out today and then again in about 30 days, and every 30 days thereafter for the number of months you choose (3, 6 or 9 months). When that time is up, there is no auto-renew, so you are in the driver's seat.
You can cancel at any time and even pause a month if needed!
This can be managed through your subscription account which you will need to create when you purchase this product. (Don't worry-- it's quick and easy!)
Can I give this as a gift?
Yes! The subscription is available as a gift, and also available to be prepaid. Prepaid subscriptions pay for all months and shipping in advance. The quantity is the number of kits you want delivered each month. So if you prepay 3 months and set the quantity for 2, you'll pay for 6 kits total and receive 2 kits each month for 3 months. Gift subscriptions will not auto-renew. If you want to pay monthly, just be sure that the shipping address is set for delivery to the gift recipient.
