Birds of Prey Kit

Inspired by our local Cascades Raptor Center, this kit is designed to introduce and deepen your child's love for Birds of Prey and is a fantastic way for them to be a real scientist!

These educational, at-home science and art activities will keep your child engaged for hours, and deepen their love for nature.

This kit is geared toward children age 5 and up, although kids of all ages would find the owl pellet dissection activity intriguing! Children younger than 7 will likely need hands-on support from a grown-up. 

The Birds of Prey kit includes the following: 

• An owl pellet dissection activity.* This comes with one medium-sized barn owl pellet, forceps, a wooden dissection stick, magnifying glass, bone chart and lab worksheet and full instructions. (An additional pellet dissection kit for a second child can be added on for $10- Choose "two" at checkout).
• Cascades Raptor Center resident bird trading cards: 9 laminated, double-sided photo cards with facts including wingspan, diet, latin name and habitat region
• Learning About Birds of Prey, Sticker Activity Book from Little Dover Press
• An Owl Eyesight STEM activity, including an owl mask template, paper rolls and instructions
• Make-your-own owl craft using recycled-materials of egg-cartons, feathers, paint and instructions
